SURRMENAGE is from Salvador, Brazil, home of Tropicalistas and World Music artists such as Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, as well as the pioneer of Bossa Nova João Gilberto and brazilian rock pioneer Raul Seixas. It was formed in 2009 with the debut album “the suRRmenage sessions” by veteran bassist/singer Arthur Caria (Dead Easy-BR/X-Rated). The band was recently regrouped as a power trio, with Maynard Passos (guitar) and Mark Mesquita (drums). ——————-
